The Child

Atmospheric creepy goodness! I love dusting off gems. From Producer Harry Novak comes a creepy little picture that at times is truly erie. You dont get to fully see the undead fiends till the very end but the build up is truly worth it. I must say for the time period the make up is pretty damn nice. Check it.

-A Zombie Fiends must see

Del Tenney Triple Feature: I Eat Your Skin, The Curse of the Living Corpse, & The Horror of Party Beach

Del Tenney. Good guy. The Horror of party Beach is a spoof on beach movies and monster flicks. The monsters in the film are referred to as"zombies" for some reason although they are clearly undersea creatures. Its definitely a little ahead of its time. good stuff. The Curse of the Living Corpse is a murder mystery that I wasnt too crazy about. It stars a young Roy Scheider which was pretty cool. I Eat Your Skin is a funny little zombie flick that is on the same level as Horror of Party Beach, Probably my favorite of Tenney's films.

-The Horror of Party Beach-- Not bad
-The Curse of The Living Corpse--For die hard Roy Scheider fans only
-I Eat Your Skin--dope quirky little zombie flick

William Fruet Double Feature: Blue Monkey & Spasms

Sweet! Yet another genre director that has slipped threw my grasp all these years. I had been restricted from watching these by my parents when i was little. But I remember starring at the covers longingly during trips to 16,000 movies(RIP) in Orlando. Blue Monkey Stars Steve Railsback (of Tobe hoopers' Lifeforce fame) as a detective investigating the strange goings on at County Memorial hospital. An old man is brought in after coming in contact with an exotic flower. The man later vomits up a larvae that turns into a giant insect or Blue Monkey if you will. There is a wonderful finale that includes Steve Railsback, a laser, and the Blue Monkey. Definitely a nice giant insect flick in the wake of David Cronenberg's The Fly. Spasms stars Oliver Reed ,Peter Fonda & Kerrie Keane. Its a delightful little film about a giant demonic snake that Oliver Reed's character somehow has a psychic link too. The film includes some pretty godamn decent attack scenes. The giant snakes bites inflicts severe swelling and the SFX used are pretty entertaining to watch. I was feeling it yo. Mad Props William Fruet, im looking forward to checking out Death Weekend, Trapped and some of your other genre flicks.

-Blue Monkey-worth checking out if your a giant mutant insect fan or a Steve Railsback fan
-Spasms-Mandatory viewing for fans of giant snakes

peace out

The Corpse Eaters

Ah yes! Lawrence Zazelenchuk's masterpiece has finally arrived! Directed by Donald R. Passmore & Klaus Vetter, (Zazelenchuk Produced it,Wrote the screenplay, & Handled all zombie makeup duties)This Canadian delicacy has been an elusive legend for several years, but I finally found a place that dubs copies of it out of michigan called encore video. I must say this film is far more odd than I ever thought it would be. The soundtrack alone is worth the watch. The zombies look pretty damn good considering the budget. My only complaint is that the movie finishes up in less than an hour & it leaves you wanting a bit more. Overall I think this film is awesome and I recommend that any gorehound/horror nerd check this out pronto!

-The Corpse Eaters= Cult Classic Status

John "Bud" Cardos Triple Feature: Mutant, Skeleton Coast, & The Day Time Ended

Ahhhhh...John "Bud" Cardos.....the mark of quality. I liked The "Dark" and "Kingdom of the Spiders" so much that i picked up these other three films by Cardos. "Mutant" starring Wings Hauser is a pleasant little zombie flick thats worth checking out. It includes a nice transformation sequence and if you have ever scene Gary Sherman's "Vice Squad" then you already know how awesome Wings Hauser can be. Skeleton Coast.Ernest Borgnine.Robert Vaughn.Oliver Reed. "Its the Wild Bunch meets the Dirty Dozen by way of Platoon!"-Troma.Nuff said. "The Day Time Ended" is a stop motion heavy sci-fi time travel alien encounter film which I am going to have to watch again just cuz it was awesome and i cant remember exactly why. All in all John "Bud" Cardos is a good guy, I got his back.

-Mutant--dope
-Skeleton Coast-- worth a watch for cheese factor and Oliver Reeds performance alone
-The Day Time Ended--The awesome city of light & crystal awaits you

peace
