There has been a lovely little resurgence of anthology horror, and here are two fine examples. Late Fee (Directed by John Carchietta & Carl Morano), is a low budget two story with wrap around number that delivers some mildly decent entertainment. The first story is a "dick ripping" good time , while the second story is on some crazy hostel type shit. The same actors and actresses are used throughout both tales, Trilogy of Terror style. Definitely low budget not bad not great either ,but you cant go wrong with an R.A. The Rugged Man(cult rapper and producer of Bad Biology)cameo. A recommended viewing for the horror anthology completist only. Trick r' Treat (Directed by Michael Dougherty) changes the format of the horror anthology and blends all four stories together without separation through titled sections. Apparently shelved for a few years because of Warner Bros claims that the film "wasnt marketable", Trick r' Treat is a fun, atmospheric, & genuinely creepy film. Its hard to believe the film wouldnt have been successful if released during during September or October. With notable performances by Brian Cox, Anna Paquin, & Dylan Baker it is well worth checking out. Yet another film added to the permanent Halloween watch list. Very Recommended.
